Chocolate redefined
Cocoa et Co — For three decades brand owner Artisan du Chocolate has redefined modern luxury confectionery, supplying Michelin starred restaurants and serving chocolate aficionados from boutiques within top department stores. The Foster + Baylis team were invited to evolve its artisan chocolatier brand, Cocoa et Co. to reach new audiences with new product ranges from a new trading environment, as part of winning supermarket listings for the first time.
The simple but stylish all-year round design centres around a geometric pattern that delivers an eye-catching and accessible solution, whilst providing a versatile brand platform for the breadth of the brand’s range. Flex for seasonal ranges is achieved through the use of graphic, abstract and expressive patterns that convey the brand values of luxury, fun and giftable, prompting one journalist to describe the brand as the “Jackson Pollock of Easter Eggs”. The considered and selective use of print and varnish effects further reinforce the brand’s standout, craft and confidence.
Disciplines: Brand strategy. Brand identity. Packaging design. Design implementation. Guidelines.
The brand’s evolution has facilitated its transition and growth from artisan Boutique brand to luxury giftable grocery brand, reaching new customers, hearts and minds.
