Tom Smarte — Winning a pitch commissioned through the Design Council’s Leadership Programme, Foster + Baylis were asked to identify and qualify the brand values and create a personality and corresponding identity for this fledgling luxury men’s hat maker.

Working both verbally and visually to create a brand that captures the Tom Smarte values of traditional British craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic. These values were translated into a brand tool kit that included crafting of the final brand mark, design of the new website, a vision for the in-store environment and creation of supporting marketing literature. Tom Smarte is now a truly global fashion brand.
